Everyday Faith

This Sunday morning we began a new teaching series 'Everyday Faith' from the New Testament letter of James. This letter was most likley written sometime in mid 40s AD by James, the half-brother of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are keen to be spend time giving good attention to this life changing letter, to be shaped, strengthened and stirred to action by its rich content, and punchy and pithy wisdom; from a man who was not only a close relative of Jesus, but an eye witness of the risen Christ who faithfully served him as a leader in the early church in Jerusalem.

In coming weeks we will receive teaching from James on: facing trials; walking in the way of wisdom; enjoying the goodness of God; being those who read and receive God's words; being hearers and doers of God's word. We will look at taming the tongue, walking in grace and humility, being patient in suffering, yet also praying for healing and gospel breakthrough.  We know we are called to live lives of robust everyday faith in serving 'our glorious Lord Jesus Christ' and we believe this vibrant letter will better help us to do this.
