A Long Look at Jesus

We will be starting a new Sunday morning teaching series on 3 September, taking
'A Long Look at Jesus' from Luke's Gospel. Luke's Gospel is the longest (in verses) of the four Gospels, and Luke, an educated, Gentile medical doctor, makes clear in his introduction his reason for researching and writing this ancient biography about Jesus of Nazareth:

Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.  (Luke 1:1-4)

He wants his friend Theophilus (whose name means lover or friend of God) to have certainty about Jesus, who he was, what he taught and how he lived and died. If you would like to join us on Sunday mornings to discover more about Jesus you are very welcome to do so.
